The Common Source Incorporated was founded by L. Ann Zdansky in May 1997. In the 18 months prior to starting the company, Ann was retained as a consultant for a major corporation to assist in a massive document production. She realized the major undertaking required to manage millions of pages in numerous different state actions and set out to develop a better method. She organized the scanning and coding of the documents and coordinated the management of the images and database on a remote system. The electronic repository system allowed outside counsel the ability to remotely access the central database, images and transcripts. This process saved the client millions of dollars in document production and management costs.
With the realization that cases are becoming larger and larger in production size (tobacco, breast implant, asbestos, etc.) Ann formed
The Common Source Incorporated to provide a secure on-line data repository to manage the complex litigation. This service allows multiple parties to collaborate easier and to share in the cost to manage document intensive cases.
In August 2000,
The Common Source Incorporated began providing document imaging and coding services. The perfection that Ann demands and provides to her clients was not available in the Houston market, so she decided to do it herself ... that way she knew it would be right! Many vendors have brought their work to
The Common Source Incorporated to assist them when they could not handle a project because of its complexity or size.
The Common Source Incorporated recently began providing electronic discovery services. In keeping with our quality requirements, each CD that is delivered to our clients goes through an extensive electronic and manual page for page quality control process that is unmatched in the industry.
The Common Source Incorporated is certified by the WBEA (Women's Business Enterprise Alliance) as a Woman Owned Business and a Texas certified HUB Vendor (Historically Underutilized Business). Ann owns 100% of the company stock. Her daughter, Shannon Reed, is the Production Manager and the Receptionist, Lois Sharp, is Ann's mother. Being a family operated company gives our workplace a "friendly" environment where all of our staff take great pride in their work. Our staff are cross-trained in many of our services, allowing them to "see the whole picture", which we feel results in a better end-product for our clients.
We are always looking for new and innovative ways to assist our clients and to save them money. We have a vested interest in the company's success and reputation, after all, it is our retirement plan!
