Black Belt in Leadership. That’s right! The Common Source made a commitment and trained for countless hours. Yes, it consumed a lot of energy and took a lot of focus, but it was well worth it. The Common Source founder, Ann Zdansky, earned her Black Belt certification—of Six Sigma! Now, The Common Source is considered a master of the art of quality control. By implementing the Six Sigma philosophy, The Common Source produces stable and predictable results every day. What is it? Six Sigma is a business management strategy for achieving quality assurance. To achieve Six Sigma, we must constantly seek to eliminate defects in any process. Specifically, a process must not produce more than 3.4 defects per million opportunities. This means we provide better products and more efficient processes for our customers. In the business world, being a Six Sigma Black Belt translates to strong and passionate leadership. Ann ensures that The Common Source consistently meets customer’s specifications To learn more about Six Sigma Certification and what it means to you, please click here. Charity Corner Adopt an orangutan. In July, Ann spent a week at a care clinic for over 300 orphaned orangutans in Borneo Indonesia. They are orphans as a result of poaching and the destruction of the rainforest. Did you know it is estimated that the orangutan population has diminished by 50% in the past decade? That’s why we are proud supporters of the Orangutan Foundation International (OFI). OFI’s mission is to save the orangutan from extinction and conserve its natural habitat. Donate or become a member of OFI today. If you can correctly guess the animal’s name, you are entered to win a drawing. Monthly winners receive a framed, autographed photo and a $100 American Express® gift card.
